JOHN P. MUTZ

 

 

John Mutz is a recognized expert in leadership development and has over 20 years experience. He builds on his 11 years experience as a Captain and Station Commander in the LAPD.  In 1996, he founded Leadership Education and Consulting Resources, Inc, (LECR), a company committed to producing extraordinary results in leaders. He and his associates design organizational and individual leadership programs.

 

He has worked in private and public environments. He was recognized by the California Council for Quality and Service, (CCQS) for winning consecutive quality service awards while he was a Station Commander in the Wilshire Area of Los Angeles considered one of the LAPD’s most diverse and challenging commands. He was in that assignment for nearly 5 years. John completed a 25 year career with the LAPD in 1999.

 

Today he works with a wide array of clients in health, banking, consulting & accounting, engineering, entertainment, utilities, technology and education. He has been acknowledged for his unique approach to delivering coaching skills to literacy teachers in Los Angeles.

 

John received his graduate degree from the School of Public Administration, University of Southern California. He has served as a Director of Board Development, American Cancer Society, Los Angeles, and in a variety of youth organizations. He is a member of the Immaculate Heart Community of Los Angeles and credits the evolution of his work to this beloved community of educators.  He recently competed in an international triathlon, his second, in Quebec, Canada.  He is married to Ms Heather Hillman.  He has three daughters, Heather, Christin and Corinne.

 

His unique blend of Public Safety training and experience in executive coaching, corporate leadership training and community service has led him to a distinguished career of helping others to achieve long-term excellent results.
