Below is a letter from the wife of a Marine Sgt stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA after attending the 2009 Great Western Grub Fest

My husband recently returned home from his third deployment to Iraq, and will be re-deploying again shortly.  This time, stateside to prepare new troops headed for Iraq.  We were at the Great Western Grub Fest today, and returned home with some very, very happy and tired little girls.  The family had one of the best "family times" that I can ever remember (besides reunification after deployment).

Everyone had such a great time and felt so honored to be a part of the event.  My husband has already been informed that he will be deploying to Afghanistan soon so this really helped.  It gave us the opportunity to share some quality time together while we are able.  It is tough for our entire family to afford to go out and have fun, but you made our day and helped us to just relax, sit back, and not think about anything else, other than good food, good music, good times, and enjoy great friends and family.  It meant a lot to our family.  Thank you all so very much.
