OUR ORGANIZATION

• Homefront America is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) military family outreach and support organization

• The organization was founded in July of 2005

• Founding Members:

  • Arthur Hasselbrink - President, WWII and Korean War Seabee, Former LAPD Officer, Retired Builder/General Contractor.  Past President of the Orange County Navy League.  Past President of the Wilshire Police Community Council, Graduate of Northwestern University

  • Mamie Yong Maywhort - Treasurer, Spouse of a former Coast Guardsmen.  Business woman.  Rotarian.  Graduate of Chapman University.  Chapman University Alumni Board Member.  Past Treasurer of the Orange County Employer Advisory Council and the Wilshire Police Community Council. 

OUR MISSION

• To honor and hold dear those who willingly defend our freedoms, and to serve their families - especially the children - by providing quality, caring, and meaningful assistance in their times of need.

• To deliver the highest quality in program services

OUR PROGRAMS

• Back to School “Pack for Success” – Backpacks filled with school supplies

• American Patriot Freedom Scholarships for military dependent children

• Troop & Family Morale Programs - Special events, Care Packages, etc.

• Homefront Holidays – Gifts, Gift Cards, Toys, and Food Baskets 

• Civic and Leadership Programs for military youth

• Dental and Legal Assistance Referrals

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Scholarships awarded:  $ 105,000 since 2006

• Easter basket distributions:  300 - 400 children served annually

• School Backpack distributions:  400 - 500 children served annually

• Thanksgiving meal distributions:  200 - 300 families served annually

• Christmas program (meals, gifts, gift cards, toys):  1500 - 2000 family members served annually

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Although we are proud of our accomplishments thus far, there is much more we must do.  In that spirit, we invite you to join us in our efforts to help support the families of our military service men and women.  Together, we can help to make a difference.
