This Holiday season, Homefront America’s Santa and his Elves will once again reach out to serve our little Marines, Sailors, Airmen, Soldiers, Submariners, and Coast Guard “Coasties” this Christmas.

To ensure that your little “Unsung Heroes” will have plenty to smile about on Christmas Day, Santa and his Elves need your help to fill out an application and submit it to him in care of Homefront America, Inc.

IF YOU MUST HANDWRITE YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE  WRITE CLEARLY AND LEGIBLY.  INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR APPLICATIONS WITH MISSING REQUIRED BACKUP SUPPORT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

Priority will be given to “First Come, First Serve” AND within this “First Come, First Serve” priority will be given to our junior enlisted rank children with a deployed parent. 

As always, Homefront America will do its best to fulfill your child(ren)’s wishes.  However, if this is not possible we hope you will understand.

If for some reason we are unable to fill request, we will notify you via email by November 15, 2007.  Tentative dates for gift delivery/pick up are from December 8th thru December 19^th.  If for some reason you will NOT be available during this time, please note this on your application.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

May I fax or e-mail my application to Homefront America?

No.  You need to mail your original signed application to the address that is listed on the bottom of the application.  In addition, all supporting documents must be legible.  This is especially of your military I.D. card.

Can I send my application certified, registered, etc?

No.  We do not have the labor resources to pick up mail from the Post Office.

May I contact you to see if you received my application?

You may if you wish, but please understand that we may not always be able to respond to your inquiry due to the volume of requests we receive daily.

How would I know if my application did not get processed?

If for some reason we cannot process your application, we will first seek an alternative solution.  If we still cannot assist you, we will notify you via email by November 15, 2007.

Why do I need to complete an application in the first place?

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we have to comply with certain rules and regulations established by federal, state, and local agencies governing nonprofits.  The application is our audit trail in the event of an audit.

Why do I need to submit any supporting documentation?

This is our way to verify the applicants are military families.

Why do you ask for deployment status?

The reason is because we try to provide priority assistance to the families of our deployed service members first.

Why do you need to know the rank of the service member?

The reason is because we try to provide priority assistance to the junior enlisted service members first.

Why do you need my contact information?

This is so we can contact you for delivery/pick up dates, and future program notifications.

Why do you need to know the age, gender, and other information on my child?

Homefront America prides itself in going the extra mile to try and personalize their programs for our families.  By providing us with your child’s information, we will be able to ensure that your child receives his/her appropriate gifts.  The last thing we would want is for Johnny to get a Barbie doll; or Jane to receive a Tonka Truck.

Can my child who does not live with us participate in the program?

All dependents must be “SPONSORED DEPENDENTS” of the Service Member.  In other words, they must be listed for benefits under DEERS.
