The American Patriot Freedom
Scholarship Program (APFSP) was established in 2006 as a way to say "thank you" to our
troops, and to offer educational assistance for their dependent children.
The program awards $ 1,000 scholarships for use towards a four year degree,
vocational, or technical certificate. Since its inception in 2006, the
program has awarded a total of $ 100,000
to help military dependent children to realize their educational goals.
J. Threet, a 2006 scholarship recipient writes,
“The
Homefront America Scholarship played an irreplaceable role in my dream of
becoming a high school teacher. The ability to pursue higher education is a
blessing. Learning to walk alongside teenagers, to enable them to bring joy in
our world, uplifts my spirit.”
To ensure the program's longevity for generations to come,
Homefront America is seeking sponsorships to help establish an endowment
to fund the APFSP in perpetuity.
Our Troops say “yes” time and over again when our country
beckons them. Now, America has the opportunity to say “yes” to their children. Your
support will go to great lengths towards recognizing those who have offered a
lifetime of service.
